WISE Education Program
Design Installation, and Maintenance of Residential Wind and Solar Energy Generation Systems

The course web site will provide you with fundamental knowledge needed to design, Install, and service residential wind and photovoltaic (PV) electric generation systems. The workshop will continue eight weeks. Every week new lecture notes and slides equivalent to approximately 3-4 hours class session will be posted. You can review the course materials at your own pace any time during the week. If you have slower or dial-up internet connection it may be more convenient to download the course materials on your computer to work offline. All posted course materials will be available throughout the workshop.
The course materials to be studied during the week will be made available every Monday morning. Depending on the topic, there will be text, slide shows, pictures, links, and other support materials. Considering the tight schedule of adult learners, we will make the materials available throughout the workshop so that you will have the chance to review them at your own pace. In other words, you will not need to be in front of the computer at a given time, you can make your own schedule. However, we recommend that you study regularly because the materials will accumulate very fast. Every week, a quiz will be posted for your self-assessment. You may take the tests and quizzes when you feel ready to check your understanding.
Most of the documents will be posted in Adobe pdf format. If Adobe Reader is not installed on your computer, you can download free from the Adobe web site.
