WISE Demo System Technical Specifications
Outline of the System
WISE is a wind and solar powered hybrid residential demonstration system. It consists of 1.8-kW wind turbine installed on a 45' monopole tower and 2-kW solar array mounted on the roof. The system is grid connected and provides supplemental power to Fuller House (19 Braddock Rd, Frostburg, MD) on FSU campus. The building is currently occupied by International Studies, Honors Program, and Small Business offices.
PV Array

Wind Turbine
A Skystream 3.7 wind turbine converts wind power for the hybrid system. The selected product has an inverter enclosed in the nacelle and provides 12/240 V 60-Hz output for direct grid connection.
